Porsche Centre Trinidad Joins the Fight Against COVID-19

Port of Spain. Porsche Centre Trinidad and Tobago has joined the drive to provide more vaccination sites for the citizens seeking to be inoculated against the COVID-19. The sportscar manufacturer joined via the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce and AMCHAM Trinidad and Tobago.

After being on a country wide lockdown for approximately two months, the automotive industry was able to reopen their doors earlier in July and with that announcement came the directives to have a safe and secure environment for staff and customers.

“Porsche Centre Trinidad continues to follow strict sanitization rules and regulations to ensure the showroom as well as the service and parts centre is safe,” said Avinash Rampersad, Lifestyle Motors Limited- Executive Director and COO. “All touch points are routinely sanitized by the on-location team as well as mandatory temperature checks, hand sanitization units and strict mask wearing for staff and visitors. All Porsche vehicles are also sterilized before customers collect after servicing}.”

The company wants to make sure the environment is protected for all however the fight against COVID-19 goes beyond the business, it is also about making sure the country can get back to normalcy.

It was with this in mind that the Porsche team found it necessary to get their staff, family members and friends together to get vaccinated. The support provided towards the vaccination drive has grown and is now extended to all persons wishing to get vaccinated at NAPA which commenced from Monday 19th July, 2021. ‘We all need to do our part and support as much as we can to control the spread of COVID-19,” said Rampersad. “It is in our hands to make sure the country can resume a normal routine. This is very important from an economic standpoint, but most importantly it’s about saving lives.”

Lifestyle Motors Limited most recent update reported approximately 78% of their staff has started or completed the vaccination process. They continue to educate and work with the staff to get as close to 100% compliance within the next few months.

A reminder to all that we need to always follow the three Ws for controlling the spread of COVID-19- Wash your hands, Wear your mask, and Watch your distance.
