"We could not have chosen a better scenery than this one to celebrate 75 years of Porsche sports cars in Mexico," said Camilo San Martín, director of Porsche de México. "We are very grateful to the organizers of the Pastejé Automotive Invitational for choosing our brand as a special guest for the fourth edition of this exclusive gathering of high-end cars, from the classics to the most modern."
San Martin also said that this was just one of the many celebrations the brand has prepared to celebrate Porsche's anniversary in Mexico. "Stay tuned because soon we will have more surprises for our customers and German sports car enthusiasts."
Porsche 911 Carrera Panamerican Special
Porsche's motorsport achievements are also present in Mexico. Proof of this is the Porsche 911 Carrera Panamericana Special, a modern reinterpretation of the first Porsche to cross the finish line of the mythical national endurance rally: a Porsche 356 S Cabriolet labeled with the number 11, driven by the German-Austrian prince Paul Alfons de Metternich and the Brazilian baron Manuel Antônio de Teffé.
Porsche presented this exclusive car during the 35th edition of 'La Pana', held last October. The customization work of this collector car was in charge of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. The two most striking details of its exterior are the roof canvas in Graffiti Gray and the engine grid in white.
Another detail that stands out on the exterior are the 20-inch Turbo design wheels at the front and 21 inches at the rear, whose inner drums and spokes were hand-painted in metallic Gentian Blue, while the central hubs are in gray. The brake calipers are black enameled. On the upper part of the doors there are decals with the Carrera Panamericana shield, reminiscent of those used by the National Automobile Association (ANA), which was used on the 356 S Cabriolet.
The gray-toned cabin is marked by details such as the inscription '911 Carrera S La Carrera Panamericana 1952' and the historic La Carrera Panamericana helmet profile embroidered in Graphite Blue on the headrests, while its adaptive Plus sport seats boast Crayon Gray leather. In addition, the LED light projectors in the doors with the iconic La Carrera Panamericana license plate design and the illuminated door sills with the individualized inscription '911 Carrera S La Carrera Panamericana 1952' cannot be overlooked.
