A world class tournament as an event for the whole family – the 46th Porsche Tennis Grand Prix offers its visitors an exciting mix of top sport and entertainment. With nine players ranked in the world Top 10 and 16 in the Top 20, the main draw field at the long-established tournament in Stuttgart’s Porsche Arena is once again of a Grand Slam standard. The winner of the final will receive a Porsche Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo as the main prize. Following are the most important facts and figures.
Stuttgart. “The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix has been firmly anchored in the Stuttgart region’s sporting and societal life for over 40 years,” says Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Board of Management of Porsche AG.  “With its class, it radiates out into the whole world and is therefore a fantastic flagship for Porsche. We are delighted at being able to once again present the world’s finest players to the region’s people in the Porsche Arena.”

The world’s elite is coming to Stuttgart
With the title-holder and world No. 1 Iga Swiatek (Poland) heading the entry list, the world elite will be competing virtually en-bloc in the Porsche Arena. Other Top 10 players in the latest world rankings are the Australian Open winner Aryna Sabalenka (No. 2), Ons Jabeur (Tunisia/4), the winner of the 2022 WTA Finals Caroline Garcia (France/5), Coco Gauff (USA/6), Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan/7), Daria Kasatkina (8), Maria Sakkari (Greece/9) as well as the 2019 Stuttgart winner Petra Kvitova (Czech Republic/10). A total of seven Grand Slam winners including the Porsche Brand Ambassador Emma Raducanu (Great Britain) will be in the line-up.

Tatjana Maria and Jule Niemeier with main draw wild cards
Germany’s top two current players, Jule Niemeier and Tatjana Maria, who won the WTA tournament in Bogota last weekend, are both sure of a main draw berth after being handed wild cards. Emma Raducanu and the former world No. 2 Paula Badosa (Spain) have each been given a Top 20 wild card. The former Wimbledon runner-up Sabine Lisicki will return to the big tennis stage after a long injury lay-off in the strong qualifying at the WTA 500 tournament. She has received a wild card, as has the up-and-coming German youngster Noma Noha Akugue from the Porsche Talent Team.

Porsche Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo as an electrifying main prize
The winner of the 46th Porsche Tennis Grand Prix can look forward to a Neptune Blue Porsche Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo. The practical all-rounder amongst electric sports cars impresses with superior performance and long range. The power unit produces up to 460 kW (625 PS), overboost power with Launch Control is up to 560 kW (761 PS). The most powerful version of the Sport Turismo accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. Its range (WLTP) stretches combined to between 430 and 458 kilometres. In the tournament week, the sports car will sit on a rostrum for all to see at one end of Centre Court as motivation for the players.

“Aces for Charity” – Porsche donates to the Ukraine aid programme
75 years of Porsche sports cars – the “Aces for Charity” campaign, a part of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, will this year reflect the anniversary. “We will donate 356 euro for every ace. The sum is inspired by the first Porsche 356,” says Sebastian Rudolph, Vice President Communications, Sustainability and Politics of Porsche AG. “Porsche thus creates a stimulus for societal responsibility and donates money for people finding themselves in hardship through no fault of their own.” The “Stiftung Agapedia” foundation, the “Landessportverband Baden-Württemberg” sport association and the “Ferry-Porsche-Stiftung” foundation will all support Ukraine aid projects with the donations.

Racket Sports World celebrates exciting premiere
As a part of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix’s programme of side events, visitors can experience the unique Racket Sports World for the first time. Autograph sessions with the stars are also an integral part of the attractive programme. A joy for the senses is promised by the performance of the world-famous Stuttgart Ballet before the final on Centre Court.

Under the “Next Gens please“ motto, there will be a special exhibition match after the second main draw match on Centre Court on Monday, 17 April. A doubles match will see young players from the German Tennis Association’s junior teams taking on Andrea Petkovic and Anna-Lena Herzgerodt (nee Grönefeld) as representatives of the “golden generation”.
