- One-make cup offers an attractive platform in the DTM and FIA WEC
- DEKRA logo on all vehicles this season
“Over and above reliability and precision, DEKRA also has a great motor racing history. This makes the company a perfect fit for the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland,” says Bastian Schramm, Director Marketing Porsche Deutschland GmbH. “We look forward to joining forces with them. With races as part of the DTM and FIA WEC support programmes, we once again offer our partners an attractive platform this season.” Among other places, the DEKRA logo will be showcased on the starting numbers of all vehicles in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland. A total of ten teams compete this season with 32 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.
“Thanks to its large grids and action-packed races, the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland is one of the most fascinating one-make cup series in the world. With its 30-year history, the series perfectly complements the portfolio of our motorsport activities, which includes two top-class GT3 series with the DTM and the ADAC GT Masters,” states Guido Kutschera, Executive Vice President of the DEKRA Group and head of business operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The continued appeal of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland since its 1990 debut season is based on the principle of equal conditions for all. Thanks to control tyres and limited setup options on the 375 kW (510 PS) Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, the focus is on the driver’s performance. The new season starts this week (27 to 29 April) with the FIA World Endurance Championship WEC at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium). The racing calendar is rounded off by the “Festival of Dreams” to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Porsche sports cars plus six other events run as part of the DTM support programme.
